in 2024 during the event "Get to know Utena's land with your family", the mural "Stronger than fear" created by Eglė Narbutaitė, symbolizing the strength of a woman, was opened near the Utena cultural center.
Do we know and talk enough about violence against women and the fight against it? In Lithuania, almost 1 in 3 women have experienced violence from their partner, and the statistics reflect only a part of the reality, as the majority of cases of violence are not even reported.
One of the three murals of the "Sisterhood Pathways" project was painted in Lithuania, in the heart of Utena. Frescoes will also be painted in Latvia and Poland.
