Orthodox Church of the Ascension of the Lord
Orthodox Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh
The small church of St. Sergius of Radonezh was constructed at the onset of the town's rapid growth, situated near the Warsaw–St. Petersburg postal road. The primary sponsor and driving force behind the church's construction was G. Biriukovas. In 1869, the church was consecrated, and services were conducted by a clergyman who travelled from Užpaliai. An Orthodox cemetery was situated in the area around the church.
