The chapel was built in Utena town on the bank of the lake Dauniškis. The cornerstone of the chapel was set on May 14th, 1992. The initiators and sponsors of the building were Marija and Aleksandras Žemaičiai living in USA. The chapel is a testimony of respect to the partisans of Aukštaitija.
