The stone laying by Lygamiškis Hillfort is 2.50 m long, 1.95 m wide, 1.10 m high. This huge stone was a golden boat sometime and it was hidden deep in the hillfort. There were many brave men who tried to dig it out but all of them lost their lives with the cockcrow. But there were more and more brave fellows in Užpaliai. One day two strong men decided to test their strength. Although they were disturbed by pixies, chatted up by sweet beautiful girls but they dug the golden boat out before the cockcrow. But they started quarrelling with each other over to whom the boat should belong to. And the boat turned to stone… That stone is lying until now…
